shawn, i thought for sure you'd b there. did cecil do something on your end?

Cecil is not open yet. They're still completing the track surface upgrades. And I didn't know I was so invisible that I wasn't seen at IFO. I was being nosy and trying to help our 1G brethren. But that's a good thing. I like to remain anonymous.

Great turnout guys!

Definitely a fun time. Freakin BOB was nailing it with those 1.6 60' ft..and Travis and Tony good job with the new best's..

It was definitely a learning curve and fun as hell. I have a small clutch/tob/tranny issue that I may have to pull my tranny also, but I'm gonna diagnose it a little better before anything. My 60' sucked ass and that's definitly something I need to work on. Each pass got a little better. Ended up with a 12.106 @126 at 24lbs.. Id like to turn the boost up some and try to get my Airfuel's a little leaner than 10.2-5 ...

Shawn- thanks for the help man. The belt held strong and the breakup was non existent..

What's the event in august? I just went on the capital raceway website and says there closed until further notice? not sure whats up with that, I'll just have to do 75&80 in the meantime.

Did some research on a couple other forums and the buzz is some ownership issue but who knows. Friday is also opening night for 75&80 too, at least there is a somewhat close alternative, guess cecil too for the bmore people.

Theres a dispute between the owners right now. Thats all the info than anyone has found out. I got my sources on FB:) Razcal want to join in on the tranny day? may start mine tomorrow night after work. I really dont want to do it but gotta do it:(

Oh damns:( Noone wants to come to a tranny party:( No fun

You need two jackstands, a jack, 32mm for axle nuts, 24mm for tranny drain, 19mm,17mm,14mm and 12mm for all the rest of the bolts.. I can lend you some jackstands if you need them...

Man I hope they get that ownership thing resolved at Capitol quickly....

I dont have jackstands or a jack let alone the 32mm axle nut or the 24mm. Think i got up to like 17. Or a lug wrench LOL. Gotta see what i can do. So not prepared for this. Damn dsm:(

We dropped off the rwd in North Carolina for some much needed upgrades on Saturday night, so unfortunately Wendy's Wings was "driveable", but we just weren't ready and didn't feel like rushing to make the event. I had a lot of fun just watching/helping, because I LOVE playing Crew Chief/Crewman. We DO have IFO on the schedule in August, so Wendy's Wings will be there.

I'm glad I could help out. With all those DSM's there, not ONE broke! Well, not fatally, anyway. You're only just BEGINNING to smell the potential of that car. Keep practicing, it's all gonna come together for you, then you're gonna look at your timeslip and you're gonna say, "I ran WHAT???"

Got my new clutch in. Used lift and tools at work. Took five hours to do. Now need to install meth injection back in and nos kit. Ill probly do the 4 bolt swap this coming weekend. Need to get to the track and see where shes at

Another one bites the dust.... GSX popped on my way home from work this morning.
Trucks in the garage, so ###### won't tear it apart til next week.
Pretty sure it spun a bearing

I'd like to say, "It'll buff out" but i'm not sure if that's case. Well and unexpected refresh of the bottom end, or possibly an excuse to upgrade?:hellyeah:

If anything stock rebuild.
I was hoping to put my tsi on the road with the longblock in the garage.
Not so sure now, can't wait to tear it apart and see the carnage.

Updated from running Jackel to now running Werewolf. What a diff. Car is much peppier. Cant wait to get to the track. Hope my 12's on the 14b come true. And that at full weight too:)

Hey everyone, I'm brand new to this forum and am about to pick up a 91 Galant VR-4. It needs a little tlc (usual DSM 2nd gear synchro issue and a bunch of leaks) and I have been doing a lot of searching (with very little positive results) for a good DSM shop in the South Baltimore/Glen Burnie/Severn area.

Can anyone hook me up with the name/number of a good shop around here?

Jon

I don't know about easier, but I'll agree with cheaper. I'm planning on stroking the engine to a 2.2 and at the very least need a machine shop to do bore and deck honing.

2.2? Just go 2.3 and call it a day. There are plenty of good machine shops, Jackson, and plenty of places in PA close to MD line.

Do what i did and just send your parts out. There are. some good omes oitside of md

Any shops you'd recommend? I was doing some searching online and found a shop in MD (Hanover specifically) that does DSM engine work, Jackson Auto Machine. Have you heard of them?
