Resolved What the hell is this thing called?

I went to go put a new tstat into my 1990 Talon TSI and it all went fine. took the top part off of the housing, took the tstat out and put the new one in, then thats when it happened..

THE DAMN TOP PART SNAPPED!?!?! like the part that goes on top of the tstat and bolts down to the bottom part. its connected to the hose that goes to the top of the rad.....what the hell is this part called? thought it was the housing but thats the bottom part. thanks

maybe t stat housing? is it a cast part?
