What size tire

hey everyone.. im looking to slap a set of hi-performance radial tires on my stock GS-T 16in rims... i was wondering what tire size would be the max size for those rims. Looking for a good summer / dry / wet / drag application

I think you can squeeze 225's on there, but a 6" rim is really only meant for 195-205 I believe. I've heard good things about the BF KDW2's. That's what I plan on getting shortly. Check out www.tirerack.com and read the specs/reviews. Downside is I think they only come in 205's with the correct profile for your 16 inch rims, the 225's profile is off. You will need 225/50's. I only see 225/45's. Not sure if that means they aren't made at all though. Do some searching, you will find answers. I just saw a thread about the biggest tires on stock rims...

yeah, 225/50 is probably the widest you can go on the stock rim. the stock rim is only 6" wide

I wouldn't even do 225's. I have 8 in. rims and I put 225's on them. The absolute widest I would go is 215.
