Hey guys i have a few things wrong with my car and cant seem to figure out whats wrong! On my datalogger i have been getting alot of knock even when i free rev it. Car smokes blue none stop warm or could. And today i installed a after market oil pressure gauge and notices i have extremely high oil pressure!!

The only thing i could think that would cause my high oil pressure is when i installed my 16g the oil return line it came with was a bit smaller then the factory one.

What do you guys thinks wrong?

idle is good
cruise should be 40 - 50 area
wot 80 area
IMO...

do a search on porting the oil filter housing, but may just need a little cleaning..

What range should my oil pressure be at?
What is to high and what is to low?
and what is the TARGET range i want to keep my oil pressure at?

Heres my setup. (not sure what all is needed to calculate proper oil pressure)

7 Bolt Engine (fully rebuilt)

Balance Shafts Eliminated
JE Forged .20 Pistons (8.5:1)
Eagle Forged H-Beam Rods
Eagle Forged Crankshaft
ACL Race Rod & Main Bearings
Stock 7 Bolt Oil Squirters (new)

Everything else is stock for now.

The rule of thumb is 10psi per 1000rpm when the oil is at operating temp. This will be after ~30 minutes of driving since it doesn't get to temp as quickly as the cooling system.

i dont know iif this is right but it is what my oil pressure gauge reads. so you can compare.
cruizing 2500-3500 around 50 maybe a little less.
then i hit the gas and it goes up almost the same as my tach.
red line is like 100 psi..
any way thats how mine is
good luck:thumb:
