what should i buy

hi im a newbie obviously and want to do some mods to my 91 talon tsi awd. what i was wondering is what would be the best way to spend the 2000 dollars i have at the moment to get the best performance. thanks

looking back at it, i should have gone with exaust first, a nice manifold, downpipe, high flow cat or test pipe, cat back, o2 housing, then maybe some fuel mods....what i did was bought a full intake system,... intake pipe, air filter, upper intercooler pipe (short route with 3 inch gm maf) intake manifold, lower intercooler pipe, and a fmic from jrc....but i should have done exaust first... lets hope that crack in my exaust manifold is big enof so that my intake system will actually increase performance rather than just flood the stock exaust system and have way to much backpressure to run well....

A BIG FMIC AND A BIG TURBO!!!!!

JK!, it really depends on what you want your final product to be. For me i started with suspension, i got 1.5inch lowering spring by progress and kyb agx ajustable shocks and i think they're awesome. Then i'd say a turbo back exhaust, boost controller, boost gauge, air fuel gauge, fuel pump, injectors, etc. The skies the limit, like i said, it all depends on what you want the end product to be. Start with the basics, then build from there. but most importantly, have fun with it

Id say get a: 2g MAS-junkyard, 1g Dejon intake pipe for 2g MAS- $120, K&N cone filter- like $150, 16g- $500, hard I/C pipes- $290 (Dejon Tool), Greddy Type S BOV-$180, and turbo back exhaust- $700.
Total= +/-$1940

I also have another question. my rotors and calipers are pretty messed up so i planned on buying new ones...do you know i the big brake upgrades under the parts catalog are all 4 wheels or just two. thanks

They are just for the fronts. I don't understand how your calipers can be messed up too, unless it has seized up.

all it took for my calipers to mess up was a slowdown from 120 to a compelte stop. at the red light (about 2 minutes), it started raining, the rain cooled the calipers and the rotors and they fused together. i released the brake and pressed the gas and i didn;t go anywhere.

Your caliper melted to your rotor! Or did your brake pad just melt to your rotor.

just out of curiosity, how did you get the car home? and machv has the baer big brake upgrade for like 800, and rear rotos to go with it.. you could look into that....
