Ok, well I have a 95 esi with the boring auto, I don't have the time or money to do a full manual swap at this time, so what I wanted is to start upgrading the auto to have a little more fun. I am first thinking of installing a shift kit, from what I understand this isn't very hard. So what I'm getting at is what is the best kit to get? I was looking at the TransGo kits and they seem pretty appealing because of the full manual(almost full) capabilities and the included instruction video all for under $100, but i'm not sure if this kit will fit my car, does anyone know? also what kit do you guys recommend for over all performance(auto-x, strip, and street)? I would like something that I can safely manually run thru the gears but still be able to put it in Drive and just go. What should I get?

Sorry about the essay but thanks alot in advance :thumb:

TransGo's manual kit wont fit your vehicle.

You will want to get a TransLab Shift Kit. It is an excellent kit and is the only choice when it comes to a performance shift kit for Mitsubishi's.

You say for Mitsu's? Since my car has 420A doesn't it also have a chrysler tranny(604A or something like that let me know)? But does this still matter? If the translab kit is the only way to go, what options do I get from it(eg. firmer shifts, manual valve body conversion, shift points, etc...)?

Thanks do far :thumb:

Sorry,

I didn't realize that you had a N/A with a 604.

The TransLab kit wont fit that. TransGo makes a shift kit for it, but it isn't really a performance kit- it's for pretty much stock use.

my recommendation don't mess with the chrysler tranny they are fragile, any dealership mechanic will tell you that
