I'm changing my headgasket, waterpump, and timing belt. I can get some discounts on these parts, but their from napa. What I want to know is: should I buy them from there or another vendor. Money not the issue (I'm not rich). I have a N/T eclispe. I still want to speed it up, but that will happen later. The plan is all-motor, thanks to this site.

I know somone who always uses advance auto parts felpro headgaskets an never had a problem. He uses them on his turbo cars wheter he fixes them then sells them or keeps them he told me once just to get the felpro one.as head studs i would always go with ARP they are pruven.that way later on you have them next time cause there will be a next time.LOL.

I would deffinitely go OEM. You usually cannot go wrong with the replacement parts, and if you get it done at a dealer it will most likely come with a decent warranty. If money is no option then in my opinion OEM is your best bet!

I'm going w/ OEM. I want to learn all I can, so I can have an all-motor Cruising DSM not to fast (thats for turbos) but not to slow. I want some HUMPH!!!! when I need it. needhttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/images/smilies/music-smiley-010.gif

Do yourself a favor and skip over felpro, topline, and other companies. If you want to do it once, then do it right. OEM all the way. I would NEVER install a topline/felpro timing belt on my car for fear that saving a couple bucks on the timing belt could cost me my whole motor. Not worth it. www.mentormitsubishi.com is awesome.

Mentor is the best, unless you have a local dealership that will match their price. A lot of them will if they call and it is instock. All Mentor is doing is giving everyone the Mechanic shop price.
