what kind of lifters??

Hello everyone. Like the title states, anyone know what kind of lifters these are. I know its probably impossible to tell but any insight would be great

There isn't much to see. What are you trying to find out.
You may have to pop off the rocker/cam follower so you can pull the lash adjuster out.

I tried another picture. I'm trying to figure it out because i got the head a while back from someone and always wondered what they were. The head will be going on soon so i would rather know. If worst come to worst, are they difficult to remove?

I am under the assumption that you want to know if you have the revised lifters with the larger orifice. You will have to remove the rockers to know for sure as the orifice is under the rocker. It would not hurt to clean them if you have purchased a used head. Here is a tutorial on how to clean/replace the lifters: http://vfaq.com/mods/lifters.html

The lifters are not hard to remove, all you have to do is remove the camshaft then the rocker arms will just come off as the only thing holding them in is the camshaft and then you can pull out the lifters with your fingers. You will have to look at the hole on the top of the lifters to see if they are either aftermarket ones or the revised ones. But most likely they will be the stock ones. If they are stock then they should just be a small little hole in the top, if they are either big bore lifters or 3G lifters then the hole will be much larger at 3mm in size. But really it doesn't really matter what lifters they are as they do not give that much of a performance increase, most people prefer to use aftermarket ones if they have lifter tick issues and stock ones work well enough

Excellent information everyone. I dont want so much of a performance increase as i want reliability. I also dont want to daily drive the car and be like "oh my lifters are not meant for the street" and be screwed. Haha thanks.
