I bought a 95 tsi a few weeks back:hellyeah: and i am new to the sem community. I was just trying to get some input on what kind of injectors to get and what psi to run with my set up and other things that people recomend. I know this question is asked all the time but its differnt for every setup so thanks for the help!!:thumb:

Set up
7 bolt shortblock ARP head studs 6 bolt head freshly rebuilt with ferrea stainless valves Cometics heavy duty MLS gasket Front Mount intercooler with 2.5” charge pipe 2.5 down pipe into 3” turbo back exhaust Test pipe Ported 16g turbo New water pump Timing belt Cams Engine harness Vacumlines Intercooler

Definitely make sure your maintenance is up to par. Do a boost leak test as well. You already have fuel pump, rewire if its not done already. With stock injectors, i would think you should be good up to 15-17psi. You need to look into getting a logger before increasing boost to be sure youre safe. Than i would recommend a good tuning device and some larger injectors for 20+psi

Make sure you change your oils in your diff and tcase... I didnt and now I'm laying in snow tinkering with a stuck tcase...For right now, keep your boost at around 15-17psi but thats my two cents... until you know your car is in good shape.

Thats lot of boost for pump gas. You still have to tune it and find out what boost level is good for your tune and gas so 20psi is good enough. You can run 24-26 but that would be like on race gas. Can you get e85, or maybe meth injection? If you can then you might be able also.

You need to get a datalogger or tuning tool before you start turning up the boost. How do we know what your injector duty cycle is? How much knock are you running into? What's your ignition timing like? You need to know these things before anyone can talk about "safe."

And it would be a good idea to do a boost leak test.

20 is alright for a daily driver, beilieve me once you get it running right you will be happy with it(but give it a week or two and you will want more). Have you ever tuned, did you install that 255 ### if you did or do you will need a fuel pressure regulator.

Wow, wouldn't expect that out of you mr. Boxx. He said two posts above you that he has Link..

i got a boost control and a fpr and as far as tunning goes no i have not thats why i am asking but i do have dsmlink and i have no data yet because i am still putting the mtr together. I hope to be done in the next 2-3 weeks then start tunning.

My bad. I read too fast sometimes. :coy:

Still, until we have numbers, we can only make guesses. And these cars don't deserve guesses. Neither do the owners. So far, we've heard 15-17psi, 20psi, and 24-26psi. Which one is "safe"?

Well truthfully none of those boost levels are safe. What he needs to do is start at a low boost level and move up until he can find a boost level that is safe and still pulls pretty good.

We can say that zero boost is safe!

I dont get to many chances to correct a mod:thumb:

Exactly.

Just because some guy in Florida can run 22 psi on that same exact setup doesn't mean a guy in Denver can. Every car is different. I would say start at stock boost and move up until you pushed it as far as you can.
