What kind of boost gauge is this?

So, a buddy of mine gave me this boost gauge for my car and i don't know what it is, or how to install it...He said something about it needing a "box" or something...Not sure where to get that...If i was able to install this, i was thinking about getting a boost controller...

Is this boost gauge even good? Apparently, it lights up blue...

Looks like a Defi gauge

It is a full electrical gauge ...it neds the box with the pressure sensor in the box you are talking about ...a mechanical gauge has the pressure reference line bolted to the rear of the guage...

You guys are right, it is a defi. I can see the name Defi if i look real close. It also says stepmaster vs2 on the bottom right...

So, what do i need to get in order for this to work? How do i find what i need?

Do you think a local shop like automotive engineering would have it? Is the installation tricky?
