What is the Difference Between 14b And T25 Hotside

Well im having major boost creep with my 14b, so i decided to drop the turbo and port it. after removing the turbo, i tried to remove the o2 housing but three bolts snapped on me. my friend has a t25 wtith a good hotside, so i was wondering if i could just take that hotside port it, and then pair it with the 14b cool side??????

The T25 turbine housing is held on by bolts, whereas the 14B turbine housing is held on with a V-band clamp.

Pick up a bolt extractor and get the snapped ones out.

A bolt extractor won't get those broken bolts out. It will just snap off inside the bolt. The bolts will need to be drilled out.

The 14b has the 6cm hotside..Which you may get creep with the 14b's and up..Porting the WG hole on the inlet of the hotside may or may not cure the creep.

But it's never a bad idea..I had a guy witha 97 tsi with a 14b..He didn't port the whoally hell out of it.But it was a definate port job..But it did not fix his creep.

I crept on an ebay 16g with a modded stock exhaust..Going with an upgraded exhaust will also cause boost creep..And porting may or may not cure it..There is also a WG mod-vs porting.You may want to look into that if porting does not cure the creep.

well ill look into the wastegate mod maybe that'll help
