Hello, I just posted about how I want to swap a 4g63t into a Hyundai Excel.
I have some questions about the motor though.
Which year/gen can you get the most hp out of on stock engine internals?
What is the max hp?
How many pounds of boost can I safely push with stock turbo and engine internals?

Buy the 1st Generation motor, the 6 bolt, years 90-92.5. They have beefier rods than the later motors but lower compression on stock pistons. In terms of lbs of boost on a stock motor, the restriction factor would be which kind of gas and fuel upgrades.

That is all I can think of now.

In addition to what he said,

The USDM 90-92.5 4G63T 6 bolt had 7.8:1 compression.
A/T cars had 390cc injectors and a TD04-13G-5cm
M/T cars had 450cc injectors and a TD05H-14B-6cm

JDM 4G63 "Cyclone" motor and Non "cylone" had a 6 bolt aswell
8.5:1 compression, depending on the seller and where they get their
motors from you could get lucky and land yourself a 4G63T with a
Small TDO5H-16G-7cm, 510cc injectors. and 220-225hp at the crank
