What is knock?

My car is throwing CEL after a 2nd-3rd gear pull. It flashes for a second, then goes away and leaves no code.

I dont know how to pull my ecu or do anything to it so please dont tell me to pull the computer out of my car.

Some say it could be knock to a certain degree but I just fall off so hard right there, and have no idea what people are talking about

Knock is detonation, it can kill a motor if you're not careful. You could try changing out your knock sensor, because a lot of the time, phantom knock will make the sensor go off, and make your check engine light come on.

Chances are you have some version of DSMlink. Which is a reprogramable chip that can be accessed through a free download here! >> ECMTuning, Inc. However with this you'll need the cord that connects from the OBDII connector to a USB to your computer. This program allows you to set you Check engine light to flash with x counts of knock. Knock is bad. When you see this light let off immediately.
