Our rear LSD is a sealed viscous coupler unit so no need for any additives.
Most people use/recommend one of the redline shockproof gear oils in the rear diff. I run shockproof heavy in both the diff and the transfercase.

I'm not sure about what is proven to work best but I can provide the information on the back of the Mopar Gear Oil container. I went to Dodge and asked for fluid to put into my '92 awd talon. They handed me their Mopar gear oil. I read on the back that it meets all GL-5 requirements. It also says that if it is being used in a rear end with a limited slip differential that there is a modifier that should be used. I went back to the desk, showed them the number and they got the modifier for me. I am going to be adding the modifier in with my new fluid just to be sure.

EDIT: Also, the dealership had 80w90, so that is what I am going to be using even though the factory calls for 75w90. I figure that it is pretty much the same.

Same here....

The shockproof is also recommended by AMS too...if that means anything to you.

i use straight Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer. the rear was making noise but after i changed it to the Lucas it quieted down alot! :thumb:
