Hey all. Anyone have any good ideas for ecu upgrades for the 2g N/T? And the best for either naturally asprierd or for turbo?

1. AFX ECU from Howell Automotive. If you have a 97 MTX, this WILL work, since you have a 98, I don't think so. Some people have fiddled with the wiring harness, but I don't know about that, ya know?
2. Megasquirt'n'Spark "stand alone" fuel computer. You build it yourself and it allows you to modify your AFR and ignition timing however you want to. Full set up will run you under $400 if you have someone build it for you, slightly less if you build it yourself. Best bet would be to get a wideband O2 sensor to use with it for proper tuning. Otherwise you have to take it to the dyno. Do a search here or on Google for it and do some homework.

Let's see...siueclipse said:Actually the full setup will cost you damn near $1200 for everything.
I'll agree with this one completely. Especially when you conisder most pople looking for an ECU upgrade are really just trying to find easy horsepower which requires little work to achieve.siueclipse said:Mental note, the Megasquirt is not for novices or intermediate users.
