Blaat,
Considering my previous topic one question remains!

I want to know what driveshafts (car models) do fit a 2ND Gen Eclipse GS-T gearbox.

You don't have a driveshaft unless you are AWD -- by the looks of it you are a FWD vehicle. The term driveshaft in america refers to the shaft connecting the transmission to the rear differential on a rear-wheel drive, or the connection between the transfer case through the center differential to the rear differential of an all-wheel drive vehicle.

You have axles. Axles are the correct term when referring to the connection between the front wheels and the front differential. Axles are also the proper term for the connection between the rear wheels and the rear differential.

You need FWD axles from 95-99 Eclipse GST, or Talon Tsi FWD.

More than likely, you will have to fab custom axle setup if you want to use a GS-T tranny on a 4G93 setup, as there may be differences in specifications between the hub assemblies, distance from hub to transmission, etc. If spacing is exactly the same, you could likely take the inner CV from the GS-T tranny along with the outer CV assembly from your current setup, and either reuse the shaft, or have a custom one fabricated.

I have no idea what your previous topic is, since you don't have a link to it. Be a little more descriptive in your topics and your threads.

Thanks for your reply!

Here in Holland we call the fwd axles driveshafts.. it's the axels in the back that are called differently.

But yes it's a FWD car.. So I bought a eclipse GS-T box to be able to handle the extra power. You can imagine the suprise when the driveshafts didn't fit, cause I know for a fact that they do fit on a W5M33 gearbox from a Lancer Evolution.

So I ordered new axles in the USA at http://www.car-stuff.com/ Still waiting for them to come in.

I have no clue if the sizes are the same or if it will bold up on the wheel side. Maybe the cv joints are swapable? Else I will have to have custom driveshafts made to fit the CV joint of the eclipse GS-T on 1 side, and the one of my old car on the other side!

What engine do you have in your car?

I now have a 4G93T from a Libero GT front-cut.. (205HP @ 6000rpm) The gearbox I'm using is a F5M33 from a Eclipse GS-T '95. The gearbox does match up on the engine, so that's not the problem.

I am afraid that the eclipse axles will be longer, so I'll probably have to have some shafts custom made :|

And what kind of car do you have? Not an eclipse? We need more info..

I currently have a Mitsubishi Colt GTi (called Mirage). It's in 3 doors hatchback form.

Looks like this:

Have you called these guys yet and see if they can help you?

Remember, you want axles ;)

I think I might need custom axles because the front track of my colt is: 1,45 meter compared to a 2nd GEN eclipse front track of: 1,52 m

That is quite a difference.. but I can't tell what measurements I need and all before getting the Axles I ordered in the USA.. Still haven't got any status update though, but they are probably closed due the holliday seasons and all.

I think I will take it to a shop somewhere nearby so I can make sure the axles are made have the right size and all.

Ok, now it's clear. We have some colts here and it's common to swap 4g63's in them so i'm sure you can get some help. You should edit your title to get better answers. Something like:

"which axles in 4g63 colt w/ 2g gs-t tranny"

And add the pic to the first post so they see which generation colt you have.
