What do you guys think, frame damage or bad door components?

Put some new door hinges because I figured the pinions were bad in the old one, turns out someone before me put the wrong door hinges on? But now my door lines up even worse and will barely close. If you need more pictures just ask. I was told the passenger side door has been replaced by a body shop when I went to go get estimates to fix a dent/get it painted. This is the driver side. The bottom piece that goes over where you see the misalignment won't clip into the holes of the body either, and the sideskirt piece of the body looks a little iffy to me too. The car has been in an accident some time ago way before I owned the car.

You can get a little adjustment out of the door hinges but idk if it would be enough to clear the fender. Try adjusting the fender to clear the door. I did this with my car by just enlarging the bolt holes on the bottom and cutting a slot in the fender mount at the top to get more adjustment. Its not fun but you can make it work.

I would say check the door very closely for any damage that looks like it may have been repaired out of it. It's possible the door was damaged, repaired and now doesn't want to line up.

cheapest is to adjust the fenders and hinges, otherwise your looking at going to a bodyshop and having them figure it out. not so cheap

My dad helped me put double washers glued together on the bottom door hinge bolts and it lines up perfectly. Only thing is, the door open light stays on and I have interior lights at my feet that stay on , draining the battery. Do you suspect the electrician before me wired them to the battery or something to stay on? I do have a .91 drain on my battery, did a system test at advance auto

for now you can always unplug the door switch.
