My car has been burning oil for a while, I'm tired of it so I decided to test the rings to see if I could get away with a freshening of the head. I only see it smoke when it has been idling for a few minutes (3-5).
I need some advice on if the rings are okay. Here's the #'s
cyl1 195 wet>235 (used capful of oil)
cyl2 200 wet>230
cyl3 200 wet>230
cyl4 200 wet>235
All vacuum readings indicate a healthy motor. Please tell me what you think I should do. I'm tired of putting in oil. Nt compression is supposed to be 192psi and the service limit is 145psi. I didn't know if I even needed a wet test, but did it anyhow.
