What color to paint my car? [Merged 4-8]

agreed, white would be the shiznit it you had a set of nice gunmetal or black rims with a polished lip.

A set of rims like that might look good on a blue 1G too though

I am thinking about painting my white 1999 GSX and was wondering what you guys think I should do. I have a couple of ideas and they all range in prices. Here is what I have in mind:

- leave it all white but go with a different color (any ideas of sdome nice shades out white)
- paint the roof black and leave the body white
- or go all out and paint it house of kolor organic green with gold flake.

That is what I was thinking. Do you think I should go with the black roof?

heres the thing if you do all the prep work any body shop will give you quite the good price for whatever you want that is if you do the prep right. and if thats the case heck around me you can rent spray booths out and paint it yourself(or do what I did and change your garage into a spray booth ) the time that it takes to prep a car good, takes time thats why it cost so much to paint. if you want to do it right and save money by doing it yourself read up on it I cant tell you how many books and articals I read about painting and prep work before ended up doing mine. I would definitly say that if you go with a talon roof then prep and paint it yourself, it takes less then a quart of paint, some tape, sandpaper, and some of that brown paper to protect the rest of the car. and I am sure you havve to know someone that has a spray gun you can barrow. I know that this definitly didnt help with your choose but I am tired of people not trying to do things because they are afraid to attemt it in the first place.

I did all the prep work on my old car before it was painted and I would probably do it again. Some shops around here want to do all the work themselves and wont paint it if you do all the sanding and what not. I am definately going to go with a white pearl but am undecided about whether or not I should paint the roof.

Just finished epoxy priming my buddys street bike (he wants it all black) first time I used epoxy primer its a little sticky hehehehe. get it epoxy hahaha...ok I think my resporator needs new filters the fumes are getting to me. anyways that Alsa corp has some sweet colors I wish I knew about them when I painted my car........well I just have to repaint it in a year or so.

I'm going to be getting a set of 18"x7.5" G-Games 77 Wolf this Wednesday. Click here to see what they look like. The car is going to have a 95 to 97 conversion including spoiler and side skirts. It will also be dropped with Tein Type Flex. So the question is, what color should I paint my car to match well with my whole setup/theme? I'm also planning to put on a CF Hood.

I was thinking of a all white, red with a black top (1g style), or IS300 Grey (most expensive option).

Any input on this would be nice
