OK so I have been looking on the site for a while now trying to find out what blow off valve fits. I know the regulars like GReddy type R/S and RS fits HKS SSQ, Apex'i Twin-Chamber BOV, Blitz Dual-Drive BOV, you know the run of the mill BOV I just want to know if anyone else know other BOV that are not common in the DSM world but will work! :thumb:

Any BOV will fit if you get the flange for it. I don't think I have seen anyone use the Turbonetics Godzilla BOV.

To answer your question, just about any BOV will fit if you have the right adapter/piping combo. I'd stick with what's been proven to work well, like a crushed 1G BOV or HKS SSQV. Recirculation kits are available for the HKS as well.
 
Vortech makes a BOV the Maxflow Racing Bypass/Blowoff Valve.

"These units will retrofit to standard HKS/Greddy style mounting pads and out performs anything its size." Says Vortech

Like the GReddy type-s flange.

I want to get this BOV because the guy from 5150 auto sports says when it vents it sounds like someone breaking glass. :rocks: I have not seen anyone with the BOV. So I called Dezod Motor Sports and the "Tech Guy" said it will fits and work. So I was just wondering if anyone has seen this BOV used in the DSM world.

So the purpose of the upgraded bov is the venting sound? :toobad: Are you aware that you're not setup to vent anyway?

Glad to hear that. I suggest going with something that has been proven to work by your peers, the sound will get old in a couple of days anyway, I'm still running my original 1G BOV. :thumb:

I can go the road that is traveled the most, but I want to take the trail less taken. If worst come to worst I can just see the thing on ebay and just get a GReddy Type-S BOV, because like Vortech said it is the same flange.

If your BOV can't hold the boost can it hurt your engine or turbo?

i had the greddy type s. hated it. now i have the greddy type r on my talon. i love it. another bov i used on my corrado race car, was the tial 50mm. i like that bov the best out of any. works great
 
the stock 1g bov is great if your still running stock boost, ive never had any issues with it, i crushed one of my old ones a while back and i think just keeping the factory bov is better, crushed bov suck, if you plan on running more than 18 psi just get a greddy or hks or whatever theve been proven time and time again to work. i used a turbo smart dual horn bov once, sounded bad ass was loud as hell but you couldnt recirulate with it so i sold it to one of my honda buddys. if you get a new bov make sure you can recirulate with it unless your mas system if set up for dumping. like the greddy type s, sounds cool even when you recirulating it
