I guess I 'm going with an AGP RS turbo. I 'd like to get a 3" housing for it, preferrably set up for a wastegate placement on it. Which one do you run / is a good deal these days? I can't even think of many shops that make/carry it. Stainless or not it really doesn't matter to me since my exhaust is aluminized.
PS I inquired smb. at AGP about it and they told me to just shop around (I thought they have one themselves since it looks like they sell quite a few of those bolt ons) Thanks for replies.

Anyone? A bunch of folks on here are runnining PTEs. Are you all on 2.5 or ported EVO ones? Thanks again.

2.5" will be plenty, all you will need no doubt. www.shearermotorsport.com offers nice ones, but your gonna be paying well over 300$. And also, most 3" downpipes, are necked down to bolt up to stock/2.5" o2 housings.

Ok, thanks. That's something I was looking for. So what is everybody using with their PTE/AGP RS? EVO one? I thought that by the time I port it (if done by smb. else) I 'll be not far from a tubular one for the price plus Evos have their flange at a different angle wtih shitty fitment, right?

You can make 500-600whp before the 2.5" becomes a restriction.

As far as RRE downpipes, I already have a 3" that starts from the stock DP flange which I 'll have to cut off and weld either 2.5 or 3" flange depending on the housing I go with. I guess the angle could be 'adjusted' at that time so it shouldn't be a problem.
On the other note, I think even 2.5 (tubular) is gonna flow more than a ported EVO, am I right? I 'm just trying to make the whole exhaust as free flowing as possible to achieve a little faster spool. I will probably go with a GT40 56 trim wheel based turbo so spool is a concern since I 'll be running it for some time on the stock 1g bottom. I am even regretting it a little that I didn't go with a 3.5" after the flex section but I know many will say it 's a gross overkill and I 'm a stupid ricer :p

A ported evo, and 2.5" tubular will flow about the same, the tubular might give you a 10rpm faster spool =P The turbo is going to only spool so fast even under the best of conditions, the little gain youd get from things, you wont notice. 4k comes alot faster than people think, i remember when people were concerned about the 50trim being too laggy for the street..
