Were can i get a cheap TCU?

my tcu is out on my 1991 talon tsi and the mech said that he cant find one, even out of the yards, the only option was to buy a new one at 450$ + shipping! i dont have kind of money is there anyway or website to find one cheaper?

A yard in OH has one for $100. Search for your year, make and model. For the part, search for computer box-not engine, then the sub-category tranmission,awd,center dash

the junk yards only have fwd eclipse, they wont work on my awd, the guy already checked

All you gotta do is call these places man. Junkyards alot of the time will ship, especially if its something small or expensive. I had EVO axles shipped cross country, an ECU shipped cross country. They will definetly do it. Make sure you pay with a credit card so that if the part is defective you can get a refund.

Yes there is and I know somewhere
