So I believe my car was wrecked before I bought it. The passenger side control arm, where it bolts to the frame, has had one bolt holding it on. Recently it came out, so I put alot of loctite on it and prayed to the car gods. The other bolt hole is stripped.

My question is, could I just have two small welds put on to ensure it stays on there? It's fairly new so replacing it shouldn't have to come anytime soon. Are the welds gonna be possible to break when/if it does need replaced? Looking for a little insight before I do it. I just don't want it coming off again while im on the interstate with my grandpa.

I don't know if welding it would work or not but personally I wouldn't mess around with it. I would have whatever repairs are needed to bring it back to factory specifications if for nothing more than the safety factors behind it. :talon:

welding it should only be used as a temporary fix. i did it on mine and drove it from chicago to madison (~2hr. drive). it was fine but i fixed it as soon as i could.

Welding a drive line component is a bad idea. Just get a tap and die set or barrow one and just re tap the hole and be done with it. So its fixed properly.
