Weird rattline, tapping, and squeaky belt. Crank pulley

Your harmonic dampener (crank pulley) is BAD. Replace it.

They can separate like the one in the pic below. There is a thin rubber ring in between the two pieces. It goes bad and the dampener comes apart.

I would start off by pulling all of the accesory belts just to make sure it isn't an alternator or something else. Then start checking the timing components.

I know, but as I stated I pulled it off and it seemed completely intact. But is that what the problem really is you think?

It may still look like its one piece, but the rubber can be bad and just spinning inside the hole. Mine did that to me before and it looked okay but that was my problem. I can't say that is your problem for sure, but thats exactly what mine sounded like when it went bad.

I watched the video a second time... Is your AC compressor still on the car?

Yes it is, but there is no belt on it. It squeels 10x worse when I have the vent on at any setting. Even heat. I'll replace the crank pulley just to be safe.

No, just the vents, i already tried that. It doesn't seem anything related to the alternator, although my car has been randomly surging close to the point of dying when i accelerate from a stop, that might be alternator related.

Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take the belts off and run it for a few minutes with out them. While you have the belts off, grab the water pump pulley and try moving it around. If there is any slack, you need a new one.

I did after I posted this. There is no play in the water pump pulley. I noticed that it still did it mildy right after i started the car, but then quit with all the belts off.

Yeah but it's not as harsh as it was with new tight belts and crank pulley. it's still there though.

Sorry, I meant to say will the noise get worse when you turn the vents on, with all of the accesory belts removed.

You might want to pull your oil pan and check all the rod bearings. Are your balance shafts eliminated?

I would also pull the valve cover and check all the lifters (HLA's)

It could be a collapsed or stuck lifter.

I drained the oil already, no shavings. I'll pull the pan in a week if I exhaust every other option. No I still have BS' but the belt was replaced around 8k ago with the timing.
