No CEL, happens basically all the time.

Basically when I depress the clutch it feels like there's a bunch of air or something in the clutch line. It makes a squeaking noise, and feels like there's a slight reverberation in the clutch pedal.

I know this is a vague question, but it's really been bothering me :(

On closer inspection...

I'm 99% sure it's not anything w/ the pedal/spring mechanism on the pedal side

When I push it in slowly, there's a very loud groaning from under the hood from about 25% depressed to 75% depressed (haven't pinpointed, but I'll just assume its from the clutch LOL)

Then when I let it out slowly, there's a slight "pop" twice while letting it out, once again close to 75% depressed and again at maybe 30% depressed.

Any ideas?

sounds like your master cylinder - any driving problems with it? Have a friend press your clutch pedal for you so you can get under the hood and make sure it's the master

Still haven't checked master cylinder, but a few new developments--
Sprayed a whole lot of WD40 on the pedal assembly (springs, joints, and the shaft that goes through the firewall), so this morning the horrible noises I got when pressing down the clutch went away, but when I let go of it about half way there's a little click or a pop or something. I checked it more closely and it looks like something to do with the rod going into the firewall

I realized that about 5 seconds after I posted :p

So what else can you tell me about this rod?

it has a rubber seal in the master cylinder that can get damaged, which lets fluid by - which means when you press the pedal not much is happenning. I just went through some problems with my slave. Basically, if it's a slave cylinder problem then you'll see fluid leaking - if you pull the boot back and it's full of fluid then you know it's bad.

but first, have you replaced the fluid and bled the system? make sure that is isn't just air in the lines. after that, i would replace or rebuild the master. Chances are your slave and master have worn about the same, so rebuild the slave cylinder too in the near future.

Also, the last component in the system is the accumulator. I would recommend the stainless steel cable from RRE and replace that entire assembly. also follow this tech article.

this is a suggestion taken from vFaq:

When replacing the clutch master cylinder, the new MC comes with the adjustment rod and the U-shaped bracket to attach it to the clutch pedal. The cotter pin that holds the pin in the clutch pedal and U-shaped bracket can be a pain to get into place in the cramped area under the dash. It is easier to not deal with the cotter pin at all. Back off the jamnut on the adjuster rod where it goes into the U-shaped bracket. Back the rod all the way out of the U-shaped bracket. Then you can remove the MC easily. Remove the U-shaped bracket from the new MC and throw it away. Install the new MC and thread the adjuster rod into the old U-shaped bracket.
