Ok when i bought my car the previous owner told me when turning the car clicks and that it was the gear oil he used when putting in the lsd. Could this be right? It sounded like bs i was figuring it was the axel. He also said though that he just replaced them, thanks in advanced for your opinions

i did jack it up and check should have posted that info. boots all look good. wheels spin freely an there zero play when trying to shake the wheels. anything else it could be?

Its kinda scary when turning.... im worried my wheel will fall off or something.

I will input I have a quaife LSD in my fwd brand new terhune race axles. It seems at low rpm/speed I here a clicking noise but never when turning. I'm running diagueen mr fluid and am not sure if I should add anything for the LSD. It's only at really low speeds and never anytime else anyway. So which LSD are you running op?

make a vid if you can.. even though the CV joints are not split does not mean its still not the CV joint wheel side that is going out. I have had a fe go out on other cars that the boots were just fine until they ripped off on a turn on a main entersection.

my 2 cents.. if your using it as a daily driver you can go OEM and be fine.. if your gonna take it to the track and what not Id say upgrae it.. the track on launch the traction is a killer on grip.. on the street your tires will spin so not as much force on the axels...

I have a H1E turbo but its a street car so im still running OEM axels with no problems as of yet..

You want to go OEM.. iw ould suggest going through rockauto.com or checkers.. check the shipping and price .. i usually use rockauto though..

?..wheel bearing..?

Jack the corners up and put it on jackstands, start the motor, drop it in 1st and watch the axles going into the knuckles as they are turning..

Turn the steering wheel during the process to see the action for the front.

if the steering wheel is pulsating while you turn it could be 3 things..
1. wheel bearing
2. control arm
3.ball joint

usually an axel wont cause that unless its bent

thanks for the input. i checked everything. im just gonna start replacing stuff until its fixed.LOL

Yeah, I know this thread's old. From my experience with wheel bearings, they usually make more of a scraping / hummung sound whether you're turning or not.

I'd like to know the verdict on this one please. Did you narrow it down? Or did you end up crashing on the thruway making a high speed turn? :|

Changed everything, cv joints axels control arms and it still does it.LOL called up the previous owner he said its the gear oil for the lsd and its done it only since he installed.so idk i just gave up.:(

He said he replaced the axels and it still makes the sound. Honestly I think it has more to to with the LSD or the transmission iteslf.
