OK so i just installed my evo 16g and check for boost leaks. only found a little leak non the throttle body gasket. The problem is, when i step on the pedal, my boost would jump back and forth from 15-13psi but as the rpm nears redline, it would just stay steady on 13. i think it might be my wastegate because my dumb*** friend started messin with the actuator arm and started adjusting it thinking that it was too tight? :notgood: can it be a good chance that its my wastegate adjustment? if so how do you properly adjust the wastegate?

See if a friend of yours can let you borrow their boost controlled. If the problem goes away it's your boost controller.

1. How much pressure and for how long was the system holding during your pressure test?

2. Which mbc and how is it hooked up?

3. If you suspect your friend adjusted your actuator too tight, loosen it and see.

There's a wastegate actuator adjustment?

Only going by what he said, I'm assuming he has an adjustable actuator.

well, i have a joe mbc and i hooked it up how it was with my t25 and it works. I'm sure my mbc is hooked up correctly. Ill try to loosen up the actuator and check boost leak tomorrow and get get back to you guys

I have the same problem with my T-28 and turbo xs mbc. I had it at 10psi since i bought the car. The other day I upped it to around 14psi. When I'm boosting, the psi will climb normally to 10 and then stay there for a second then shoot up to 14 and then level off at 13 at higher rpms. Let me know if you find a fix.
