wastegate not holding boost

Any suggestions? I have a 38m tial external mounted to a turbonetics manifold.. Pressure comes directly from the intake manifold to the bottom port of the gate. But.......It boost creeps hard...runs from 12psi@3500 to 19+psi @5500. I took apart the wastegate and everything looked good, no leaks....springs looks good.....help.

have you tried to run the pressure hose fron the turbo outlet instead of from the manifold? I have seen spike and creep problems on my friends old turbo v8 mustang when he ran the actuator line from the intake. He hooked it to the turbo outlet and it solved about 90% of his problems.

Ok....I moved the pressure source just past the turbo and no change ......any other suggestions?

What kind of turbo? did you ever run this turbo internally gated? If so, did you have creep then?

It is a hks gt3037... It does not have the capability to run internal gate.

At this point, I really couldnt tell ya. I dont know the mods on the car so its hard for me to really say. Im assuming that you are just dumping off the wg, right? What size dp and exhaust? Cat? Remember, the exhaust will take the path of least resistence. If the turbo back exhaust is efficient enough, the exhaust will travel through the turbo and out the exhaust instead of out the 38mm hole to the wastegate. Im not familiar with the turbonetics manifold, but check the wg flange and make sure it is not smaller than the wg. A little poting might do the trick. Wish I could help you more.
