Yeah, thanks for the info. Actually I did have a problem similar to that too. I think I put that in my other thread that I linked to...? I was missing one of the bushings from the bracket all-together, and one of the brackets was really loose. I checked on them again this weekend, and they were still tight after I fixed them. Maybe I need to buy a 1 piece driveshaft. . . I'm thinking the DP might fix it. We'll see. Thanks again for the reply. I'll try that out too.

I was going to attach this to my "Rear end noises after clutch engaged" http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=206955 post, but felt it needed its own thread. I searched and didn't find anybody with this problem, but surely i'm not the only one.

I installed an Apex'i N1 cat-back (without the downpipe- for now) and had a weird noise. turned out it was the flange between the two parts hitting the U-Joint. I pulled it off this weekend and put some washers (as spacers) betweent the hanger brackets and the body. I also ground down some of the metal on the edge of the flange where it had been hitting. This MOSTLY got rid of the problem. This weekend i'll try more grinding, or install the DP to see if the slightly different angle fixes it. Just wanted to let any of you that may experienc/ or are experiencing this know. It'd be bad to destroy a u-joint from banging on it anytime torque is applied to the driveshaft, or a bump on the road hits your exhaust against it. Take care.

You might also want to check the condition of your carrier bearing rubber isolation mounts. The exhaust may be in the correct place, and the driveshaft moving around a bit, hitting the exhaust.
