edmonton,
some1 told me the 255 makes a loud humming noise, ifso would the noise from the pump only be audible to AWDs cause of the pump being under the back seat or would FWD's hear it also.

Yes, it is pretty noisy, if you don't have a radio or a 3" exhaust. If you have the car just sitting there and no radio or anything on, I'm sure it could get annoying, but I can't even hear it when I have the radio on (at a reasonable volume on stock system). I run open downpipe when I race :barf: , but I'm sure a 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust would also kill the sound :thumb:

both of you guys are AWD's tho, Im FWD, the pump on FWDs is located underneith the car on the backside of the tank. I can understand how it would be loud to you AWD guys but considering where it would be on my car would it even be possible to hear it.

I think if u guys barly hear it then I deff wouldnt. I just need clarifacation before I get one.

thx

I can barely hear my rewired 255 with the car off from the driver's seat, and I'm AWD too. Even with the floor carpet, spare tire, and all that cardboard crap removed.

From behind the car, that's a different story - you can hear it pretty well, but it's not annoying... I kinda like it. :D

i couldnt beleive how noisy it is. I can still her it over my 3in exhaust!
