Alright I'm buying a new turbo back set up and I was just wondering how the VRS stuff is from slowboyI haven't much about it. The other question is vent in or out I'm really not sure which is better and why and also the price of the set up doesn't bug me. The main thing is does anyone know how good this set up is and should I vent in or out and do I need anything else to vent out.

Thanks.

A turbo straight from t-netics will not bolt on to your manifold, nor the VRS exhaust system.

If you order a similar turbo (even with the exact same t-netics compressor and wheel) with a PTE turbine housing, ie: LINKY

Than your manifold and the VRS exhaust system will bolt up. Understand that "bolt on" affairs are rarely quite as easy as they sound.

Ok, thanks.

This should bolt up to the VRS o2 housing as well with the Mitsubishi turbine housing inlet?: http://www.dsmparts.com/customer/product.php?productid=554&cat=166&page=1

If so I'd go with that set up as that Turbo can make 450-500whp (so it says).

a couple things, A) the link you posted is for a bolt on garret 50 trim. it states right in the ad that it is good for 350-500 hp at the wheels, but in all honesty, you're going to have to work to be pushgin 400 whp. B) you need to fill out your vehicle profile. I don't know what you've already done to your car, so I have a hard time recommending a turbo for you. 450-500 hp will require a 57 trim or larger. An FP green has been pushed to damn close to 500hp, but that is maxing the turbo out.

I think you should probably take a little time to figure out what all is invovled when shooting for 450whp.

I'm buying a 96 Talon TSi AWD tomorrow and it's stock. I'm not new to modding cars. I had a well modded STi and a somewhat modded Evo9MR. I sold those and have gotten to the being fast for cheaper mindset, haha. Hence, I know what has to be done. However, I'm not familiar with "proprietary" details of DSM cars, so I'm just trying to get an idea of parts and direction to go.

My only concern in this thread was that the VRS turboback exhaust system (o2 housing) would bolt on to a t3/t4 hybrid turbo capable of making about 450whp. Which you did answer. So thanks. :thumb:

Yes I know that's a 50 trim. However, DSMparts has bigger ones. I just sort of gave that as an example or something I am looking at in a turbo in that ballpark. Earlier in my posts I stated either 50 or 57 trim. I should have posted this: http://www.dsmparts.com/customer/product.php?productid=550&cat=166&page=1

I might eventually. If I get my T-25 I'll see what I can do for you. I tell you though.

IT IS NICE. Quiet and rumbly. I mean it, just great. and yes, I have the full 3 inch stainless steel turboback with a highflow cat and the O2 eliminator. It's a nice piece.

Thanks for the push in the right direction on the vrs..... I'll let you know how it works out when i get it .

i have a 99 eclipse rs and its got a t3/t4 turbo 5 bolt flange 02 sensor and i need a o2 housing that will fit up to a t3/t4 turbo and bolt-up to the stock down pipe thanks.

LOVE this exhaust! Fitment is a little bit of an issue and for the 1G the hangers are all wrong on the muffler LOL Not a hard fix though. Just take it to your local muffler shop. I love the way it sounds and it isn't loud.
