so today after work, i finally went to get my rear bumper on. well.. after i already got my kit, ive heard people saying how bad their rear blitz bumper was for their eclipse.. i thought meh, the front fit extremely well and the sides fit almost as good, with the exception of a little gap right at the corner of the door. so we thought.. it cant be THAT bad, right? WRONG. holy shit, the thing didnt line up even close, if you put the one corner "in" the other side would be almost a 1/2 foot away unless you pushed HARD on it. THEN the bottom part of the bumper, there is a piece that hangs down and it hits the spare tire well causing it to move up. in the end, its on and looks like complete ass, we have no idea what to do with it, other then to eventually get it molded in. there are HUGE gaps underneath my tail lights on the left side, and the corners dont fit in, stick out, doesnt line up etc etc.. my car looks like a complete POS now.

sorry for ranting, but im sweaty, itching from fiberglass and just plan pissed off, pics of the horrific thing tomorrow when its light out.

i was overall very pleased with VIS ... i WAS pleased... now i dont know what to think? WTF?

You'd have to cut the bumper in half, shave it down, then re-mold it. Just molding it in will have issues with lines and cracking.

I am not pleased at all with VIS right now. Their cf hoods are claimed to be among the best. They are crap. My skeleton is tacked on with some cheap crap in places, so the hood is flimsy. Several shops that sell the invader hood say that it's ideal for turbo heat venting. PFFT. I have a header. The heat is cracking the CF around the vent. I called them and they will not warranty this. They tried to say anything could have happened. I hardly drive my freaking car. I told them I was disappointed that they claim to be so good, but refuse to stand behind their defective product. Buy from them if u want, but their customer service sucks and they half ass their parts in a lot of cases. :thumbdown

i wish i had four hands...

:D

you have some freaky hands there then buddy

anyway, my unorthodox solution before you go to all the trouble of shipping it back is to put a bunch of heat lamps or a space heater on it, then try to bend it back in to shape once its a bit more pliable. its a long shot, but fuk it, go for it.

if you heated it up and bent it in, wouldnt it stretch out later and possable crack? i got all my stuff at gtp for extremely good prices and the fittment is grear. the front was excellent, rear was about 1/2-1" off on each side but was bent in to fit, and the sides arent on yet but i have tested them next to the car and they are the exact length and shape. Hopefully your able to salvage your rear, if not look at importfan.com

pics of the hideous thing. i am considering a new bumper or possibilty of saving more money and getting it fixed+molded.

excuse the poor quality pics, my "digi camera" is a video camera  and it makes my car look pink OMG , when its really red.

I had a blitz rear end from aero trends... Fitment problems included having to cut off the part that goes over the spare tire well, and mounting it in a position where there was about 2 inches below the tail lights, I’ve seen other blitzed eclipses have the same problems.

Body kits suck. Buy Aero Gear (no not Aero trends), and be done with it... they guarantee their fitment (supposedly)

god damnit, why the hell arent they working.. i didn this for pics inthe past and it worked...

get the pics working i want to see how bad it is

no actually on my 1g the back bumper didnt fit too well at all, ended up cutting it in half and cutting a peice out then putting it back together. also had to fix a few other things that werent quite right on it.

if someone wants, IM me on AIM ( twolf234) and ill send you the pics and you can try and load them or something?

like i ALREADY said in a few post above yours...

my "digi camera" is a video camera that takes SHITTY digi pics. hence why my car looks pink, when it really is the bright red of the new 2gs (paint code- R87A) but i think id rather have a pink 2g with a rear bumper that fit, then my POS i have right now OMG ........

yea i think im going to take it to custom airwerks, a local shop that has some of the best work in PA prob. theyve put a few cars into mags etc. the major problem is, is that you cant "slide" it up. if you are familiar with how the stock rear attachs, you would know that underneatht he centerpiece, there is a small metal lip sticking out to bolt it DOWN onto. so when i put my blitz rear on, we screwed it DOWN into the lip, meaning you have to add fiberglass to the top which i have a feeling is going to be more then i want to pay and may be better off getting a new rear? or i may try and learn how to fiberglass myself... i may end up with a bumper that is worse haha.... but i dont know, any help as what i can try and do to solve this? it kills me to have something so bad on my car, im trying to keep a very clean look, and well, "vents" under my tails lights is not helping it look any cleaner
