My problem has been ongoing for a while now. When i put the car into gear and start letting the clutch out there is heavy vibration on the passenger side. when it does this it almost feels like there is air in my clutch lines but it only does this about 80% of the time. I've bled my lines extensively and problem was still there. so i changed the master, slave, and got a ss line from the master to the slave, and bled them all again. the problem still is there. The clutch pedal only feels "squishy" when the car is running. i checked my tranny and motor mounts all are good. my passenger axle has no tears in the boots but does have a little in and out play( i dont know how much is allowed). does anyone have any insight on my situaion before i change the axle? could my clutch, fork, or thwo out bearing be bad? any ideas on what is causeing the vibration? or other things to be looked at? thanks ahead of time. sorry for the long post

Does the vibration go away once the clutch is fully released? How far off the floor is the clutch pedal when it first engages?

I assume your clutch disk is "sprung"? Don't know if this is related, but certain sprung discs have been known to jettison springs and/or springs are loose and rattle causing all sorts of racket in the BH.

Could also be a warped/burned PP/Flywheel :dsm:

once the clutch is out and the gear is engauged the vibration from the passenger side goes away. but i can push the pedal in about an inch and i can feel the "spongy" or vibration through the pedal. the engagement point is about half way up the pedal movement which is where i had set it at. it doesnt change that i can notice. could the clutch fork be bad? or fulcrum point?

Had the same problem until I got a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel. Most likely your flywheel is warped. Just take it easy on your new setup and don't launch till you get a few thousand miles on it.

Also when your bleeding your clutch, as a last step...take out your bleeder screw completely and push the rod all the way into the cylinder. Then put the bleeder screw back in WHILE your buddy is holding the pushrod in and tighten the bleeder all the way down to spec. Then guide the pushrod back into the spot on the clutch fork. Make sure you have your goggles on because the brake fluid will squirt EVERY where. Its a two person job. Brake fluid will blind you if it gets in your eyes.

i was hopin that wasnt the problem, i just spent a bunch of money on her. i guess she is money hungry now. oh well. thank god for credit cards... thanks for the input. any other ideas i can check out before i drop the trans?

definitely try to get the air out of the slave cylinder first, that may fix it. You need constant pressure against the flywheel to get a smooth engagment. Air is a compressible fluid, brake fluid is an incompressible fluid. Air will change its applyied force as it is compressed (through vibrations).
Not saying its the problem but its worth a shot. Don't bleed the whole line again, just the slave cylinder like I said.
