VIN Locations

Not sure where else to post this sooo . . .

I have come across a built race car but there is an issue finding a VIN on the chassis. The rules require there be a VIN on the car. I know it should be on the dash but the guy has not confirmed it. I have heard the VIN is also on the ECU on some cars. So my question is it on Eclipse ECUs?

EDIT: The car I'm currently talking about is a 1999.

What year car is it? There should be a VIN stamped on the firewall, Vin tag on dash under windshield, sticker on driver door jamb and possibly one on rear bumper support frame IIRC.

95-96 cars have the sticker in a different location on the rear bumper
