I found this turbo in their site, its ball bearing, garret gt30 center cartidge, yada yada. What I wanna know is how does this compare to a GP gt3052? VPE's turbo has a mitsu exhaust housing and o2 bolt pattern so it should bolt on just like stock. Anyone have any comments about this? I assume its similar to what forced performance sells. I asked VPE, but they didnt offer much information on it at all which is a really big turn-off on wanting to buy it from them. Thanks guys,
Shawn

The Fp 3052 is a GT30r CHRA which is a 56 trim 52 lb/min wheel.
It is surrounded by it's own anti-surge compressor housing.
An it has a custom cast turbine housing.

The fp gt3052 is the same but it has a T3 flange for a turbine inlet.

Sorry XtReMeToYz. We didn't try not answering your questions; it's just that the information your requesting is for the most part in the description of the turbo itself listed on our site. We try to give you as much information as possible.

Just an FYI, most people think that turbochargers are different from vendor to vendor. This is generally not the case as we all purchase them from typically the same suppliers. A few people have created their own turbine housings which allows for some changes but for the most part the compressor wheels and turbine wheels are all production Garrett, Mitsubishi, AirWerks or Holset parts. All of us are constrained by what is produced by the big name manufacturers.

To that end VPE is working with Innovative Turbo to offer some new wheels which are proprietary to them. I'm getting specs as they are available and coming up with combinations that I feel will work efficiently. We haven’t released anything yet because they need test before we release them. It’s winter here in Ohio so not much testing going on right now. We are building a new racecar for this season so we can’t dyno yet either.

As for the turbo you’re asking about. It’s been around for years and is proven to reach the goals I’ve listed on the site.

Hope this helps.
