I had a compression test done today because lately white smoke has been coming out of my exhaust, compression was 95 90 89 75. why could it be so low?

Blown HG. Piston rings..... Did you do the wet test?
Give us more info: color/smell of smoke, when it smokes, collant/oil mixing, oil burnoff, oil leak, where smoke is coming from.(engine bay or exhaust.)

White smoke out of the exhaust after idle, i had another post about the smoke and everyone pointed towards the HG

Well to me it would seem like your compression is really low for just a blown HG. I would highly recommend doing the wet compression test to see if it is your rings as well.
Also, did you check your exhaust manifold for oil in the exhaust runners?

Give you guys a little more info on the car, car had 70k on it when i got it in december now has 89k, a lot of people told me its the head gasket but it doesnt overheat and i checked the over flow and the coolant isnt milky or anything just a puff of white smoke after it idles. People told me it could be the valve seals also, but i didnt take the manifold off yet to see.

The car actually runs fine besides a boost leak, thats what i dont understand, doesnt run crappy or anything i drive it nearly a 100 miles a day.

does it only smoke after idel? for a while and then goes away after you drive for a while? if so then your guides or seals could be bad caused from bent vales, with compression that low on all 4 cyl, i'm willing to bet your timming belt jumped a couple of teeth, check and make sure your timming is dead on, either way the head has to come off(sorry for the bad news)even if its a your rings, hg, valves, etc. good luck

I just thought of this: This test was done with the engine at operating tempurature, right? If not the numbers will not be accurate.

Nope the dipstick doesnt pop out, and the smoke goes away right after i take off, just a poof comes out then thats it.

Well, i drove it then came back and it sat for like an our untill the shop could get to it, then they did the compression test and a diagnostic and one of the cylinders was misfiring also.

I dont think the shop did the compression test right or their gauge is wrong. If all 4 cylinders are below 100psi, chances are, it wouldnt even run. If it did, it would missfire like crazy. Do yourself a favor and buy a compression tester. It will be less than $50 and then you would know that someone isnt trying to feed you a line of bull****. As far as the smoke, I would guess that it is valve seal related. Have you noticed any loss of oil?

Yea, the only reason i had them do it is cause i dont have one. My grandfather has one at his garage i'll try it out there and see if it comes out different.

Make sure you pull the fuse for the engine and when you do the test, press the gas peddle all the way in otherwise you'll get lower compression readings. (If you don't pull the fuse expect some gas to be blown around in the engine bay)

Car is still running fine other then a boost leak, wouldnt it be stalling out and misfiring?
