I had a compression test done today because lately white smoke has been coming out of my exhaust, compression was 95 90 89 75. why could it be so low?

Jeff822 said:Well, i drove it then came back and it sat for like an our untill the shop could get to it, then they did the compression test and a diagnostic and one of the cylinders was misfiring also.
92awddsm said:I dont think the shop did the compression test right or their gauge is wrong. If all 4 cylinders are below 100psi, chances are, it wouldnt even run. If it did, it would missfire like crazy. Do yourself a favor and buy a compression tester. It will be less than $50 and then you would know that someone isnt trying to feed you a line of bull****. As far as the smoke, I would guess that it is valve seal related. Have you noticed any loss of oil?
