Well I have noticed my car is lacking power, a lot. So I did a compression test and my results where: DRY- 100,100,100,90/WET-125,125,115,100. Yes the car was fully warmed up. I have noticed that my coolant is getting a little bit of oil in it and I am loosing coolant but not leaking it. I have never noticed my car smoking though. I am having no issues with my dipstick popping out. This winter I did the timing belt, oem composite gasket, and arp head studs. The car runs fine so I don't think its timing off. It idles at -19hg which from reading is where it should be. Opinions?

I know i'm not supposed to bump my own threads but just checked the timing at TDC with the cam gears and it looks to me like the intake cam is off 1 tooth. Pics might be hard to see.

pics are a little hard to see. But it does look off a tooth. Are you 100% your crank is lined up good?

As for a wet test. A wet test will usually always make higher compression cause it causes the cyl to seal better.

As for the oil in coolant. That is really not good. But if your not overheating. It sounds more to me like you have bad turbo seals, which is causing the fluids to mix. Also consume the oil and coolant also.

I would start off by checking turbo shaft play. If thats good I would move into, taking off the radiator cap, and checking for bubbles and or steam. This would be a sure sign of a bad headgasket.

Usually in my experience.

1.The car overheats from hot exhaust entering the coolant.
2.The car consumes the coolant, eventually causing it to run low and overheat.
3.The car produces lots of smoke out exhaust, and pushed coolant out of radiator cap.
4.Compression was usually good on all these cars, and new headgaskets fixed them all.

Well the dowel pins on the cams are both in the 12 o'clock position and from searching i've done I found one thread where the marks look EXACTLY like mine do and everybody is saying that the exhaust cam is off 1 tooth which would make for the super low compression and the lack of power i've been having. As far as the turbo goes I just put on a re-built small 16g that has hardly any shaft play off the car and on the car i can't even find the slightest bit of shaft play. So it looks like I will have to re-do the timing and then do another test. I have the right symptoms of it being off 1 tooth though, rough idle, huge lack of power.

Well when I drain my coolant there is just a few little black spots that come out and I'm assuming it's oil and it doesn't over heat so i'm not sure. I never did re-torque the arp studs back down which may do the trick with that, who knows.

Usually oil in coolant points to the oil cooler. Oil pressure is higher than coolant pressure. When my cooler was cracked there were quite a few oil droplets in the coolant. Is it possible that the black spots were random debris from inside the block?
