Vegas Meet - June 11th

Anyone here live up in Vegas?

I'm rolling to town next weekend for my 10yr HS reunion Saturday night, but I'm staying with a local DSMer for the weekend. SoCal Rob and Surge are planning on making it up there, so right off the bat, we have 4 DSMs planning on getting together on Saturday to grab some breakfast, hang out and talk shop.

Now I KNOW there are a handful of DSMers in the area and that the Vegas DSM scene is not one you hear a great deal about. Why don't some of you guys come out and meet us? We can all do the hang out thing for a while and maybe while I'm checking out the reunion thing, you guys could all hit up a club or something. We could all party into the night and do it up right imo.

Who knows what this could start?

azDSMers have driven to SoCal for MOD and other cruises, and now we're trying to get a meet together up in Vegas. SoCal DSMers are going to Vegas for meets... Maybe, someday, there is a regular event schedule here in the tri-state area and we set us up a winter DSM racing/show series or something in the near future. This is where it starts...

...or doesn't. . Let's just meet, score some grub and talk shop.

wtf? you throw down some details, we are the VISITORS...why is SoCal supposed to setup a vegas meet? we dont even know the turf....jeebus... driggs is going to his HS thingy ma bop, me and surge just offered to tag along to add DSM's to the count...then AXA lives in vegas she's our DSM sister out there offered to show us around. So now there are 4, then turby said he wants to come so thats 5, so damnit, whats the closest in n out so we can meet you freagin Vegas DSM's?

Alright, alright, calm down there. I'm talking about a time, something like that. What time would everyone like to meet? Also, an idea of what you're looking for. I wasn't sure if you wanted a food place or a casino or something but now I see you like the idea of In N Out. There's always the one right off of the 15 on Trop/Industrial but the place is always packed on weekend nights and they don't care for people hanging outside by the cars. At least, not at THAT specific In N Out. Sonic's are always a popular meeting spot. What do you guys think?

Saturday 6/11 -
10:00 a.m. - Breakfast Brunch Buffet $7.95
Suncoast Hotel/Casino - Rampart & Alta
Park in the front parking lot facing Rampart Blvd - large parking lot for our crew.

Noon to 4:00 pm - Drive to Mt. Charleston & Kyle Canyon Ski Resort, National Forest - scenic drive. Lots of places to take pics.

Back to town for Brian's reunion.

The rest of us will plan for dinner sightseeing on the STRIP and Club Fiesta for dancing - Radio Station V-108 sponsors the club every Saturday night. Hip-Hop, R&B, Top40 - there is a $10.00 Cover.​

That's what we're looking at for now, but I'm sure it's open for discussion. Anyone of you Vegas tuners down? If nothing else, it would be cool to have the first, tri-state DSM meet in the SW, eh?

Damn vegas sounds fun.....i wish i saw this thread a bit sooner though then maybe i could have gone....i missed the last socal meet and i wouldn't mind on driving out to vegas since i turned 21 this year too and i haven't gone out there yet.......hopefully you guys set up another vegas meet sometime this year......

Yes we did. I will never forget blasting past three slow cars coming down from Mt. Charleston, almost passing the two of those guys, only to shut it down right as we approached that ranger shooting radar.

I'm definitely down for another Vegas meet sometime this fall. It was a good time.

There's got to be a couple tracks in SoCal...

Why don't we have us a winter race series this year? It would sure do a good job of pissing off all the east coasters who have to garage their cars come September.
