VDO Question

Hey, i have a VDO Guage but the bulb that is in it is very dim. I have it hooked to work with my dash lights. The bulb that is in it is like a 164 3 watt push in bulb. I want an LED bulb but i dont think they have push in bulbs, arent LED's just like two wires? I dont know I just need a bright preferably colored bulb, I tried advanced auto parts but their bulbs arent much different. ANy suggestions?

If the light isn't very bright it probably means there is a problem in the wiring. Especially if you tried a different one and it did the same. If you think you want to do LED though here is the best place to get them. www.oznium.com.

No, I didnt actually buy another bulb I just meant that they were all like the same bulbs. I want an LED but I don't think it will work because it's just a push in bulb. It looks something like this type of push in:
