After pulling my hair out looking for a boost leak, then scrutinizing my fuel system, I found a MASSIVE leak coming out of my valve cover breather hose. I'm pressurizing from the TB, so it's not my turbo, and I've read that if it's the seals then the car will smoke from time to time, which mine doesn't. My car does burn a little oil but I read that's normal for most turbo cars.

So my question is, what does this leak mean? Could it be a messed up valve cover? Or something internal? Thanks.

Most likely your pcv valve is leaking. I had the same problem even with a new pcv valve. I ended up putting a check valve in between the intake manifold and the pcv valve and have not had a problem since. This is the check valve I used. Check Valves - US Plastic Corporation

Yeah I also read about the pcv valve, but I ruled it out since I just bought it last thurs. from mitsu. I guess my next step is to block off the intake manifold nipple and test the pcv valve hose. I hope it's nothing worse than that!

Oh and jking, did this cause you to hit fuel cut? Thanks

It was a good size boost leak, but I never hit fuel cut because of it. But then again, I have had a 2g mas on the car since I first got it running and it would take one hell of a boost leak to hit fuel cut on a 1g with a 2g mas.

Alright jking so I plugged off the nipple on the IM and no air came out of my valve cover breather so that's GREAT! However even with an air compressor I could only put 14 psi in my system and it fell from 14psi to 0 in about 3 seconds, it sounds like there's air coming from under the IM, but I can't find any leaking out anywhere! idk, I guess that's another problem.

Anyway thanks for your help, and the link to the check valves you sent me, is that the right size check valve? Thanks

Yes, that the right size. It's the exact valve that's on my car. If you have a leak you can hear, get a spray bottle of soapy water and it won't be too hard to find.
