Vacum leak and weird lifter knock!!

I just recently put my new engine in my 1995 mit elcipse GST, 6 bolt motor. I am havign problems with a couple of things.. First one is that i got a vacum leak somewhere.. on my boost gauge is reading 12. When i take the car out i cant build up boost. the car just puts along. Second i got a wierd lifter knock that goes away after you rev. it up to like 2500 rpms. Need Help with this guys!!

Lifter knock?? or more of a tick. On a six bolt you'll have that. It just makes a quick ticking sound. I'm assuming your six bolt is a jdm which meant it sat somewhere for a long time and that also doesnt help the lifters. Also, try the the vacumm line elimination. I can't remember which site has it though. Just do a search and you'll be able to find it.

Yeah dude...goto Home Depot, get the stuff, and build the IC Tester like on VFAQ.com. It is awesome. I had WAY more leaks than I thought and even found out that my UICP was cracked and leaking. IT WORKS WONDERS!!! You will find the leak right away!!
