I'm trying to T-shoot my slight misfire (esp when engine is colder) while accelerating at lower RPMS. It's not causing much of an issue but I was wondering how I should use my logger to t-shoot a bad spark plug. I know it's simple to take em out and check them but was wondering if my logger would be able to easily identify a bad plug/wire.

NGK Wires were bought new 3 or 4 years ago. Plugs were probably changed 2 years ago. I'm going for a drive now to do some loggin of my fuel trims and O2. My ride is a 94 NT ES. Just trying to learn how to more effectively use my logger. :talon:

Hmm, it's probably not a bad idea but how long should wires last? I know I've had them last for quite some time on my 16v VW's. Also, any guess on how often plugs should be changed? I think I'll try manacore (sp?) wires this time and stick with my NGK plugs. Thanks for info since I'm feeling hella lazy about searching. ;)

They last until they're used up, just like anything else. Rather, they last until the weakest part of all those parts fails.

Don't bother with Magnecores. It's like synthetic oil- they're good, but they're not enough more good than regular-market stuff to justify the price. Just get NGK wires, or anyone's "better" wires.

Most manufactures recommend changing plug wires every 50,000 miles if that's the answer you're looking for. That doesn't mean that all wires will last that long and some may last longer. Like Defiant said, when they're used up, they're used up.

If you're looking for longevity do not use magnecors on our cars Period!!!!!!!!!!!

NGKs and Accels seem to work well and last decent. Plus their cheaper,,accels only 17 bucks on ebay.

I made that magnecor mistake,,dont do it. 3 months of use and 79 bucks wasted. Plus they dont honor warrantys for our cars.
