wash dc metro area,
is it ok to still use LubeGard if I'm using Chrysler MOPAR ATF+4 ? I go to Chrysler and all they have is MOPAR ATF+4 which they say 'superseeds' ATF+3 dexron-III. MOPAR, is it ok to use this product, even though it says MOPAR on it?

i spent over 80+ hours last night reading up on DSM and A/Ts... modds and maintenance. And I've searched but havent found a clear answer. Well, I know for a fact that I am wayyyy over do w/ a tranny flush and change. I hope to do it next week some time...! :thumb:

Yeah, I use Chrysler ATF to :tease: flush the tranny, then fill 'er up with Mobile1 ATF and a bottle of black Lubegard :thumb: .

thanks man for replying!:thumb:

yeah, i plan to get 14 quarts of Chrysler ATF+3 for about $4 each. then i can get the Mopar ATF+4 for about $5. ive heard lots of good things about lubeguard, so i plan on getting that. but what about using the lubeguard w/ Mopar ATF+4? not necessary? whats better? not too fond of mobile1...

I asked this same question on the IPT forum, and John stated the above (Mobile1+Lubegard).

Don't worry about the fluid you already have, DSM's are natural "bleeders" . So by the time you get all the leaks fixed, THEN flush everything and replace with Mobil1/Amsoil/whatever..."and" black Lubegard.
