well i have a 97 eclipse witha t25 on it. I'm looking to upgrade my turbo but i dont' wanna run into any problems like: i need a slimmer fan or it won't bolt up to the manifold and housing, or it won't connect directly to my hard intercooler piping that runs to the stock location from the t 25 to where the side mount intercooler is located, or my curent intake pipe wont fit the new compressor inlet. What are my options here. All i'm looking for is 300 WHP-350 whp no more with a decently quick spool (under 3500 rpm's). I'd like to go 13.5 at the track, so far my best is a 14.6 with a 2.5 60. Basicly i'm saying i don't wanna have to change any parts i don't need to. I'm tring to keep it as cheap as i can.

I'm going to have to second the BIG28 advice. I absolutely loved mine and lots of people run low 12's on them. The 16g family of turbos might also be something to look into, but then you will need different oil/water lines and a J pipe to connect to your lower intercooler piping. The BIG28 is a direct replacement. :thumb:

well i am going to say big 29 as well it pretty much fits your situation perfectly pretty much every other turbo will require a tiny bit of modification to get it to work

if ur going to upgrade.. might as well make it worth it.. or stick with ur t25.. :)

jk

but if ur actually serious.. yea the t28 seems like ur best bet.. i didnt know there were DSM owners that were considering those these days.. usually its a min of a bolt on 50trim from what ive seen

i dont know how much HP ur going to want efficiently on pump gas..

what id suggest.. get a cheap bolt on pte 50 trim.. or those new bullseye turbos..

you can get them for 800-900.. i have personal experience with the 50.. you can keep your stock fans but just have to shave some of the housing.. and you would need a bigger intake pipe. i have a 3.5" big difference compared to the dinky 1" on the t25 (sorry i forget) and your piping can route it to your stock smic location..

yes its a lil more work.. and a lil more money.. but your car will have a lot of potential. not to mention im sure you will get bored of your t28 if your the stereo typical dsm owner who only cares about power and more power.. i went from a t25.. big16g... to t3/t4 50..

regardless good luck..
