Upgrade from PR to ETS fmic

My PR FMIC finally started leaking. This is a great excuse to upgrade...

Will I need new piping or will ETS bolt right up without modification?

I plan to reuse the piping since they are good (leak free). PR is 2.5" aluminum, ETS end tanke are 2.5" SS if I understand right?

As long as the cores are the same size and you can bolt them up in the same/similar location it should work fine

Just judging based off a few pictures I have seen the placement of the intercooler is similar. I think with the flexability in the couplers it just might work.

Friend tried it and it wont work you need buy the ets piping. It's well worth the upgrade. I love ets they make amazing products. Ets is the best no knock ever. Go ets!!!

I dint understant how it wouldnt work. There is only 1/2" of wiggle room in the D holes I cut out beside the radiator. And my piping will wiggle all over that area and adjust accordingly. Does anyone have measurements for the distance between the inlet/outlet of the core (preferably from center to center (or inside to outside if you get what Im saying...) and include ID and OD of the inlet/outlet.

Also which is better for my application? right now I plan on maxing out my 20g. I will probably stop at some sort of FP turbo in the far future, probably green xl or red/black. Id rather buy one intercooler. If a street version will work best and no significant gains from a race FMIC. I certainly dont plan on exceeding 500AWHP EVER. I would probably only ever drag it. Also 3 or 3.5 or 4 inches thick?

IF I have to spend $800, for a FMIC and pipes, I will probably go VRSF. because they are pretty proven, and cost just as much as the ets FMIC only. I just want to kill all my boost leaks once and for all.

Was your friend 1g or 2g?

The PR fmic looks like a copy of the ETS, it only seems logical that they would be very similar given the routing design cant possibly differ by much.
