Well, my tranny is down right now, and I've had my 2600 working properly for about oh, 1 mile or so. I was just thinking, if my tranny is down now, should I upgrade to the billiet steel fork from taboo? How many of you guys have bent/broke the fork with a 2600? Would the upgrade be worth it?

I think it's definetly a good idea to upgrade, i just ordered a 2600 kit...
I can't seem to be able to get a hold of them though......I hope they have them in stock... :D

I use this clutch fork and I would never install anything with greater than 2100 lbs. with out this upgrade. I also run a welded clutch pedal with Taboo brass bushings. :dsm:

for you guys that already have the billet fork from taboo i just got one and im wondering how do you get the pivot ball retaining clip off the stock fork.

my buddy snapped one end of the fork clean off in his 2g fwd with a 2500lb
but with all the hard launches in my 93 awd with the 2600, i never had a prob. knock on wood, hopefully i dont break one with my 91

Don't you just gring off that rivet type fastener? Ia the taboo fork tapped and threaded for a screw?

It's been a week since I sent my first e-mail to Taboo. I sent two in total. I simply asked if they had stock, and how much shipping would be. I have received no reply...

Yeah, every time I try to contact them or order something, they always say their e-mail is down. I mean come on! How can a busnesses e-mail be down for two weeks?

well i ended up just shearing off the fastener with a screwdriver and hammer. and yes the taboo one is tapped and comes with a screw.

you guys who keep talking about emailing taboo and what not i dont really have an answer for you there i just ordered the parts (clutch fork and slave cylinder rod) and they came in like 9 days. on their website it said allow 1-3 weeks for shipping. and for the one inqiuring about if they had it in stock it says right below the part whether they have it in stock or not. one of the guys is "Martin" on the dsmtalk.com forum.

I live in Canada. On their website it mentions that for international orders, they should be contacted before ordering. So I sent them an e-mail with my adress and which parts I needed. I have received no reply.
I just don't want to send them money if they are only going to take their time doing whatever it is that they are doing. I would have paid them a long time ago if they had returned my shipping inquiry.

Thanks
