I have been trying to fix my cruise control ever since I purchased this car and last night I had the entire center console and kick panels out. I was just looking around in there when I noticed a 3 wire plug just dangling there with nothing around to plug it into. The only thing that the previous owner did to the car was had the radio head unit replaced at Best Buy about 4 years ago. I am just curious if anyone knows if this plug goes to the cruise control because I am running out of options. I will post some pics when I get home.:talon:

Without actually seeing a picture of the wire it is hard to tell. If the factory system was the infinity system with the amp under the passenger seat that wire might be to go to that but I don't know if the 97's even had the infinity system as an option.

If you can take a picture of the wire in question and post it up.

I don't think any of the radio harnessing is only three-prong. There's a harness that goes to the amp under the passenger seat, if equipped, a DIN that comes back from it (or, vice-versa), and another DIN cable that goes to the rear CD changer.
We just had a thread about this, if I can find the damned thing.

Here it is, although this was a 1G:
