Hey there everyone,

I know that I'm posting the details of the Union City meet a little late, but I've been swamped as of late because of school and other commitments. Thank you all in advance for understanding. Now here we go everyone

Sunday = February 8th 2009

DSM meet for the Bay Area NorCal 1G Eclipse/Talon/Laser and 2G's Eclipse/Talon. Other cars are welcome as well

Location : Krispy Kreme doughnut parking lot at Union Landing shopping center in Union City

32450 Dyer St., Union City, CA, 94587. Use this address if you are trying to Mapquest the location or if you are using a GPS system

Meet time will be at 7:00 PM, although we tend to trickle in anywhere between 7-8 PM

I'm guessing everyone knows how to get here, if not just lemme know and I'll make sure to post the full directions for everyone.

Here are some very vague directions. You are going to want to somehow get onto 880 South or 880 North depending where you are coming from (Unless you live in the areas of Union City or Hayward) and exit Whipple Rd. Make a left at the light onto Dyer St (This works for either side of the freeway you come from. Keep going straight. You'll see the Union Landing Shopping Center on your left hand side.. If you don't, just look for the Hollywood Video on your left and that's the center.

Anyone is welcome to attend regardless of what kind of car you drive (I personally would like to see lots of DSM's though both turbo as well as NA ones,) but if you have friends that drive other cars, feel free to invite them as well. All we ask is that you don't drive into the area recklessly or do anything that would bring unwanted attention to us. The last thing we need is cops coming to harass us, which would make it even harder to have a meet at all, also turning people away from coming to meet with us because they don't want to deal with the drama.

So please no burnouts, unnecessary revving or anything of that nature while you are in the parking lot. This meet is so that we can all gather, talk about our cars and just enjoy ourselves.

Also since the meet time will be at around 7 to 8 PM on a Sunday, if you somehow haven't eaten there are some good choices to eat within the area. There's Jollibee which is a Filipino fast food restaurant that serves Fried Chicken, burgers, Spaghetti, Pancit and other items. A 24 hr IHOP is on the other side of the parking lot. There is also a Japanese and Chinese restaurant in the parking lot. If you want burgers, there's a Fuddruckers near Starbucks (You can try a Ostrich burger there if you want) and In and Out on the other side of the center near Lowe's. If you would like to go to a sitdown spot, there's the Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse (famous for all the peanuts you can eat and you get to throw the shells on the floor and they make a pretty good steak as well) and also a TGI Fridays one light down. Lastly if you are willing to drive out about 2 miles, there is a Wingstop on the other side of the overpass.

Also for those that bring their wives or girlfriends, there is a Baskin Robbins and Krispy Kreme to satisfy their sweet toothes if they have them. Also there's a Starbucks for all you coffee addicts .

There is a movie theater for those that want to watch a movie as well. Down the street about a light away is also I-Fly (An indoor skydiving place so you can experience skydiving without actually jumping out of a plane )

I'm just mentioning all these spots if you are hungry and if you are trying to convince someone to come here. Especially if you plan on driving here from a different area. You can take them out to do something fun for both of you or your family, have dinner, and then come to the meet so that they can be happy and you can come hang out with us as well. Spending time with them and meeting with other DSM'ers FTW

Also if there is someone that could bring a camera so that we can get some shots of our cars, that would be great. Don't mind my busted ass bumper LOL.

Well for a head count, we really don't do that unless its for the Stinson Beach meet. The reason why is if you start to have a list on who is going to come, it becomes almost like a promise.

That's another reason why we have done the last 2 meets with a monthly vs. weekly schedule. When its more relaxed and people have the choice of coming or not, it just tends to work out better that way. Our turnouts have been pretty decent, so all we can hope for is to get more people to come out. Don't worry, if our members here have plenty of time to plan for the meet, usually they'll come out. Especially now that its been established that we can actually have meets, more people have started to notice and are willing to come out now vs when it was almost impossible to get anyone to come.

Was talking to Killa_DSM and well I have a problem. I got bolts stuck in my o2 housing and been having problems logging my wideband.

He and I decided I might show up early and let the car cool down so perhaps someone who had some tools or the know how on how to get them bolts out. I can bring a wireless drill but it does suck balls. FIX ATUCA'S DSM day!

Why you gotta bring me into your mess??? :p I think its still gonna be really hard to get the bolt out unless you pull the turbo. Well I guess it all depends on which bolt as well. Trying doesn't hurt I guess.

Anyways, I should be at the meet. Gonna be rolling out from SF with juanpac0 (Yuri) so if any SF guys want to go, we can all go together.
 
PM me if you want to caravan from SF to the meet, the sooner the better.

Gonna need new o2 housing bolts. I got maybe one good one? You got any laying around? How about a fuel pump rubber washer thing? I been needing stuff from you for a while! Bring my flywheel holder bar thing! You want me to bring your downpipe?

This is gonna be a part swap imo.
 
Just joined the forum, 4G owner here. I am looking forward to going to the meet on sunday and showing off my baby's new shoes. :sneaky: I'm bringing my OEM 17's with me, maybe someone might want to take a peek at them.

B&M style shifter (always gets loose don't like it maybe it'll work for someone) 25

i got stock 2g manifold, unported, but is tapped for EGT probe
also stock 2g o2 housing unported
oem 95-96 Talon foglights (yes they are different from 95-96 eclipse fogs) they are all clear (not frosted clear)
also have 95-96 Eclipse foglights, but harness is cut, so you have to hard wire
no bulbs included

i can bring these to the meet if anyone wants to buy em, but i wont be there until maybe 1020pm. if anyone is interested.
