Underhood Switched Ign 12v source?

Where under the hood can I find a 12v switched ignition source? I'm not savvy when it comes to wiring, so I'm sure it's pretty obvious and I just don't know it.

It's for a relay. Thanks!

What's the relay for?
The most obvious place to pick up a switched 12v ignition source is the 12v feed to the coils but there might be better/easier places depending on what/whare the relay is going.

For a water injection setup. The relay will be mounted on the firewall, so that wire would probably be fine.

Someone's page uses the fog light fuse in the box. Could I use that fuse? I don't have fog lights on my car, so it wouldn't screw anything up... Right?

The fog light fuse isn't switched, it's hot all the time.

I've been looking at the wiring diagrams. While the headlights (and foglights) themselves are hot all the time, the relay that controls them are switched.

You can also try the relays that control the radiator fans as well.

Another thing you can try, if your fuel pump is rewired, is to tap the power from the relay that was installed during the rewire. That relay is controlled by the MPI relay.

Sweet97, the wiper motor is mounted on the firewall on the passenger side, farthest to the side... big black thing, right?

I may use that...

Which harness, the one that is pointing at us or the one that is pointing up and has exposed wires?
