Thanx man, it only took you an hour to read and, it took me a half a day to write. but to get eerything down on paper is so hard to do, theirs still alot missing i know.
my own shop for the side projects is in the future, Right behind my house. :D
glad to see you have the vision to see the outcome.

Well it only took me about 10 minutes to read that post. But I looked on google and found the Honda forum also. Read that stuff too. Painting is something I never got into as a profession, but I'm constantly fascinated by the outcome. I love seeing an awesome paint job. I remember going to a car show with my dad when I was 10, (this was like 25 years ago) and seeing this 1940 mercury coupe with this peach pearl color. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and ever since then I go to car shows mainly for the custom paint jobs. I just can't get enough. I ended up taking a different career path. But I would love to take it up as a hobby. Starting with my Talon that's driving me crazy with the clearcoat peeling.

google ehh... LOL next time google KeeleDesign, I'm on alot of forums, but CB7Tuner is the other one i call home. and have given most my efforts torward.
painting is a compilation of artistic talent and proffesional skill, i can't go a week without painting something custom, i get tired of fixing wrecked cars, but it gives me the facilty to do my side work.

Yeah it looks like it takes a keene eye and talent to come up with some of the stuff you come up with. And I guess after a while I would get tired of fixing wrecked cars. I still look forward to the painting process though. Especially if you've mastered it. I took my car across the street for an estimate to get the whole car re-shot. They quoted me $8,000. I have 4 dents on the car. None larger than a nickel. So were talking next to 0 body work. Id like to learn myself in my spare time. I'm not paying $8,000 to get my car painted.

Also have you ever thought about doing carbon fiber?

yep and i have... i just need to find the photos.

Can't wait to see everything put together. I find it cool that you went your own way and made something quite original OP.

hood cowl. i sanded with 180 grit and used some adhesive pramoters, and primed it, then wetsanded it with 500 drit and painted it.

i think any color matched cowl slicked out like the car looks great

edit: ohh yeah heres the depressing part...... the intake manifold is no longer gona be used... so it's just sitting on a shelf in my house. as i am doing a full 1g swap now.

i am waiting on the new intake manifold to arrive, when it does i have something up my sleeve i am thinking about doing... ever hear of heat changing paint. I think i am gona paint it black and as it heats up it'll turn bright gold. and this will give me some insite on where the heat problems are mostly coming from. i will be using a magnus thermoshield gasket, so i think this could be a pretty neat experiement and look kewl as heck at the same time.
This stuff is Eclipse heat changing paint, google videos of it. It's verry!!!!!! expensive. and i will be using it wisely on my artwork, whatever it may be on. so what do ya'll think about this idea?

things are changing a lil, but for the most part the colors will remain the same.

today i got my new 1g intake mani shaved down to look a little cleaner, and etched primed and primed it, I've already blocked it and have it ready for paint tomorrow. I am still up in the air the direction i will be taking it, but i think i will be using some of the heat changing paint on it for sure, As i'd like to know when it's heat soaked. it should be alot smoother than my last manifold. leaving a higher shine.

the 1g intake manifold,, i shaved the top down for a cleaner look the valve cover , cam sensor and throttle body
It's a 2g TB i plan on just reeming the backside to flow into the 1g intake manifold for now., I swaped the braket from the 1g coil pack and made the 2g coil fit on it. this is white with candy gold sprayed over it. either like or hate it i like it..... even though i am not normally a fan of this color, but i believe with my car being all black this pop like it needs.

still waiting on more parts though,, my k&n air filter showed up today as did my brake calipers as one of mine broke when changing them.... just my luck.

I liked the marble look but you kind of ruined in with the tiger stripes and the bright yellow a little to rice for me but good job on the painting looks nice and smooth with no orange peal or anything looks good.

Might look better in the car I guess

Ha forgot about this thread,

At the time i liked the color in person, but someone :ohdamn: me... i hate it too.
What the heck was i thinking, it's hidious :tease:LOL I'll be going with either black or some sort of metal type finish the next go around.

ROFL raddle can black looks better in my opinion.

I lived and learned this go around, sorry to disapoint, and i'm sorry for myself to have to redo it.
I think I'll spray balm the im for now and get a new vc to shave and paint, once i upgrade my im, i'll use the heat changing paint on it, it'll turn from black to white when it gets hot.

my paint is made by alsa eclipse but the same concept as this video

I am one of the dsmers that cares about under my hood for looks and performance. I think the pieces are unique and really cool. Its definitely going to set the car aside from others if you do any shows. Keep it clean and keep up the good work. Bring on the pics!!!

Any current pics?Keep it clean and keep up the good work.

Its to bad they don't have something like that but with powder coating. Unless they do LOL. Very cool to know that they have something like this though. Car should look pretty sick once its done. Keep up with the pics and progress :thumb:

thanks, and sorry about the dissapointment.. i'll do better next time

while doing my timing belt change i took advantage of the down time,

I've shaved the valve cover, and sandblasted all the old off,
i cut a piece of thick sheet metal to cover my wires, and etch primed it today, this go around, I'm going to make mine much nicer than most i sell, so heres progress.
